Telx Internet Exchange (TIE) participants gain detailed, real-time traffic analytics through Guavus solutions, empowering optimal connectivity business decisions
New York, NY — October 4, 2010 — Telx®, a leading interconnection and colocation provider in 15 strategic North American markets, today announced it has entered into a strategic partnership with Guavus, a provider of dynamic decision-making solutions. By leveraging the network analytics capabilities provided by Guavus, Telx Internet Exchange (TIE) participants in New York City, Atlanta, Phoenix and Dallas are now able to securely access traffic exchange statistics with their peering partners and make informed decisions based on real-time data to ensure optimal interconnection with their partners.
As part of the partnership, Guavus installed and actively manages systems in selected Telx facilities. The Guavus solution delivers continuous traffic analytics in real-time at no additional cost. Telx can now offer its peering participants a unique view into their interconnection traffic patterns, as well as the ability to work directly with Guavus for more detailed traffic analytics and data-driven insights beyond what is offered directly through the partnership.
“We partnered with Guavus because they offer a managed solution delivering our customers real-time insights into their network traffic,” said Michael Lucking, Director of IP Development and Engineering at Telx. “Working with Guavus has allowed us to focus on our core business and leverage Guavus to add invaluable traffic insights for our TIE participants. Our Guavus solution required no IT involvement and was fast to deploy, making this a successful partnership with rapid execution.”
The capabilities are now available to all TIE participants through the Telx portal, providing a unique means to actively measure and visualize detailed traffic statistics. Using the portal, TIE participants get a visual understanding of their interconnect traffic based on continuous gathering of peering data. This information empowers them to make optimal business decisions by accurately assessing the cost effectiveness and traffic patterns of each partner and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
