Juniper Networks to Demonstrate its Universal Edge Portfolio at Broadband World Forum

Demonstration to Feature Key Service-Enabling Junos-based Applications Media Flow and Network Activate

PARIS, France, Oct.13, 2010 — Juniper Networks (NASDAQ:JNPR, news, filings) today announced its diamond sponsorship and participation at the Broadband World Forum, the world’s largest broadband event attracting more than 6,000 decision makers, taking place in Paris, October 26-28, 2010.

At booth J3, Juniper will showcase a “service provider in a rack,” including next-generation switching and routing platforms powered by the Junos® operating system that help service providers ensure the subscriber experience and improve the economics of their rapidly growing networks. The demonstration will feature Juniper Networks® MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers, the industry’s only converged platform for the network edge that performs sophisticated subscriber management, aggregation, mobility and business services in a single, highly-scalable system. The demonstration will also highlight the Juniper Networks T Series Core Router with the industry’s only shipping, IP/MPLS capable standards-based 100 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, essential for supporting rapidly-growing video, advanced wireless and cloud computing services.

Juniper’s next-generation routing and switching platforms are optimized to enable service providers to meet the explosive growth in digital media and online video traffic. As part of its Junos Ready Software applications, Juniper will highlight its Media Flow Solution, the industry’s only content delivery, distribution and caching solution purpose-built to address new media delivery challenges. By combining groundbreaking media delivery software with scalable, carrier-class Juniper hardware, the Media Flow Solution is an ideal solution to enable service providers to improve the performance, efficiency and profitability of delivering rich media content.

Juniper will also showcase Network Activate, a Junos Space application, which enables customers to quickly create and activate revenue-generating services, including bringing VPN services online up to 10 times faster than competitive products. Network Activate automatically collects the entire physical inventory of devices under network management and provides MPLS resource control, point-and-click service provisioning and troubleshooting for Carrier Ethernet services environments.

During the event, Juniper will also exhibit Junos Pulse, the company’s integrated multi-service network client software. This industry-first mobile security software enables new service models for mobile operators and improves productivity for mobile employees while providing secure connections for a variety of mobile devices such as smartphones, notebooks and netbooks.
