Ciena® Corporation (NASDAQ:CIEN, news, filings), the network specialist, today introduced new product designations for select members of its product portfolio. The naming updates reflect the branding unification of the company’s newly transformed portfolio, and will begin to appear in product documentation and artwork, corporate collateral and company communications during the next several months.
Specifically, Ciena has dropped alphabetical prefixes (i.e. “CN” 4200 and “OME” 6500) in favor of the ‘Activ’ nomenclature. The below list reflects the updated product names in their respective product groupings. NOTE: Products not appearing on this list were not included in the branding update, however they remain active members of the product portfolio.
