AboveNet Selected as a PHONE+ Top 50 Channel Program

WHITE PLAINS, October 5, 2010 – AboveNet Inc. (NYSE:ABVT, news, filings), a leading provider of high bandwidth connectivity solutions, today announced that PHONE+ magazine, a resource for the telecommunications indirect sales channel, has named the company a Top 50 Channel Program. Details are published in the October issue of PHONE+ magazine.
AboveNet was selected from among hundreds of companies — carriers, resellers, master agencies and hardware and software vendors — that submitted their channel programs for the 2010 ballot. Winners were determined by the more than 1,500 votes submitted by indirect sales partners.

“PHONE+ is proud to recognize these channel programs for their exceptional service to the channel,” said Larry Lannon, group publisher for PHONE+. “These companies set a high standard for others in the indirect channel; how much they’re appreciated is evidenced by the number of partners that turned out to vote for their favorites.”

AboveNet makes it easy for agents to expand their logo portfolio by leveraging AboveNet’s high bandwidth connectivity solutions. The company connects to buildings containing more than 400 data centers, and its products are supported by approximately 2.3 million fiber miles and a global Tier 1 IP backbone.

PHONE+ is the country’s leading resource for communication distribution channels. For more than two decades, PHONE+ has been and undisputed leader in providing news, analysis, education and peer-to-peer networking to the indirect sales channels serving the communications industry.
