Sidera receives multiple ‘Best-in-Class Wholesale Regional/Metro Fiber Provider Excellence Awards’
New York, NY, September 13, 2010 – Sidera Networks, formerly RCN Metro, a premier provider of fiber optic-based network solutions, announced today that it received two Best-in-Class Wholesale Regional/Metro Fiber Provider Excellence Awards from ATLANTIC-ACM, a Boston-based telecommunications research consultancy.
Dr. Judy Reed Smith, CEO of ATLANTIC-ACM, presented the awards at the COMPTEL Plus Fall 2010 Convention & Expo in Dallas, TX.
This was the fifth year that ATLANTIC-ACM conducted its Metro Wholesale Report Card study and the fifth year that Sidera’s customers rated the company highly. The Metro Report Card was divided between incumbent carriers and competitive carriers with customers rating their service provider’s performance in several categories. Sidera won Best-in-Class awards for Billing and Provisioning (tie) among competitive carriers.
In addition to the two Best-in-Class awards, Sidera was the top-scoring carrier for several product categories including, Local Private Line: DS1 and DS3 for price competitiveness and for Local Private Line: OCn & Wavelengths for both quality and for price competitiveness.
