Level 3 Receives 2010 Metro Wholesale Best in Class Award from ATLANTIC-ACM

BROOMFIELD, Colo., September 13, 2010

Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE:LVLT, news, filings) today announced that it has received the ATLANTIC-ACM 2010 Metro Wholesale Best in Class Award for Voice Value among CLEC providers. The award recognizes Level 3’s leadership in delivering voice services that meet the needs of wholesale customers.

The award is based on the ATLANTIC-ACM Metro Wholesale Report Card study, which compiles customer feedback via online surveys. The 2010 Metro Wholesale survey generated over 1,600 individual carrier ratings. Customers evaluate each carrier that they work with in a number of operational categories and rate voice and data products for both quality and price competitiveness. The Voice Value award is based on the combined average score for quality and price across all voice products. Level 3 was the highest rated provider for the following voice portfolio attributes:

  • VoIP Quality
  • Local Circuit Switched Voice Price Competitiveness
  • VoIP Price Competitiveness
