FAIRPOINT DONATES $750 TO SARANAC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (September 20, 2010) – FairPoint Communications recently donated $750 to the Saranac Elementary School in Saranac, N.Y. The donation was made to recognize the volunteer efforts of FairPoint employee Bethany Cliche of Cadyville, New York.

Cliche has been a volunteer for the school for four years, volunteering in the classroom, assisting and coordinating fundraising activities and serving on various committees for the school.

The FairPoint Volunteer Incentive Program recognizes employees’ contribution of time and talent to nonprofit organizations where they live and work. Under the program, FairPoint employees who volunteer at least 50 hours during the year can request that FairPoint reward the organization with a $750 grant. Employees may request funds on behalf of two separate organizations for a total of $1,500 each year.

Saranac Elementary educates youngsters in grades kindergarten through fifth and is part of the 1,700-pupil Saranac Central School District serving families in the towns of Saranac, Dannemora, Cadyville, Morrisonville, Redford and Black Brook, N.Y.
