TeliaSonera International Carrier today announced it’s come together with Arqiva to enable cross traffic delivery between the communications infrastructure and media services company’s satellite distribution platform and TeliaSonera International Carrier’s own Media Connect service.
Arqiva is to provide TeliaSonera International Carrier with an STM-1 fibre link between its Newman Street location and TeliaSonera International Carrier’s Telehouse North Facility in London’s Docklands. Deploying broadcast delivery equipment at the Newman Street premises, TeliaSonera International Carrier will be able to pass customer feeds and access Arqiva’s teleports for satellite distribution. This will enable clients of both parties to distribute and supply content globally.
Paul Dahlgren, Vice President and Head of Product & Business Management, TeliaSonera International Carrier, comments: “We remain committed to providing the highest level of service for our clients and this new STM-1 fibre link will give us access to Arqiva’s extensive network for distributing feeds globally. We also have confidence that this partnership will enable Arqiva’s clients to see the benefits of our Media Connect service.”
