ATLANTA, September 15, 2010 —In this research note from Gartner, the connection between effective application performance monitoring (APM) and positive end user experiences are explored. The complex IT environment maintained by a majority of enterprises requires special tools to ensure that the service levels required by today’s applications are met. Furthermore, Gartner predicts that by 2015, more than 50% of enterprises will need capabilities beyond those delivered by current APM tools. This finding based on research that takes into consideration a trend towards more dynamic applications and evolving IT environments like Cloud, suggests that enterprises need to consider factors outside of the traditional enterprise IT environment.
