Allworx Products Win Best Channel Product in Two Categories

PAETEC subsidiary honored in both IP PBX and IP Phones Categories by Business Solutions Magazine
FAIRPORT, N.Y. - August 31, 2010 (Print-friendly PDF file)

Allworx, a wholly owned subsidiary of PAETEC Holding Corp. (NASDAQ GS: PAET), announced today it has received awards for "Best Channel Product" in two VoIP categories, IP PBX and IP Phones. The awards were included in a special issue of Business Solutions Magazine (BSM).

The results are based on 16,656 votes from 1,416 resellers, calculated by Penn State University and BSM's editorial staff, and measured seven categories including three product-related categories: Product Features, Product Reliability, and Product Innovation. Vendors who scored highest in those three categories were then contacted and asked to submit a product for each applicable technology category.

The Allworx 6x took home the top score in the IP PBX category, and the Allworx 9204 won for IP Phones, both in the Product Reliability/Durability and Ease of Upgrade categories. Unlike traditional phone systems, IP-based systems can deliver new efficiency such as using unused bandwidth to boost Internet speeds, seamless integration of phones with PCs and remote access for employees to access the powerful features anywhere they have Internet access.

"Receiving this recognition from Business Solutions Magazine and the more than one thousand resellers they polled is a great testament to the hard work of our development team and demonstrates why our line of products has been so popular in the business community," said Chris Hasenauer, vice president and general manager of Allworx. "Ease of use and reliability are key factors to driving down the true cost of ownership of any technology. Using our Allworx systems can simply increase the overall efficiency and communication of an office, while being affordable for a small and medium-sized business."

The Allworx 6x IP-based PBX is designed for companies with up to 60 users, and is an all-in-one communication system integrating traditional phone system features with advanced IP based functionality. The product supports both VoIP and traditional phone lines, and carries optional features such as unified messaging, automatic call distribution and an eight-seat conference bridge for meetings.

The Allworx 9204 phone is ideal for any office setting and features a back lit LCD display, wide band audio and 4 programmable feature keys.
