NEW YORK, NY – September 09, 2010– Allied Fiber, a carrier-neutral provider of dark fiber, wireless towers and colocation facilities across America, continues to spread the word about their next-generation network plans. Today, Allied Fiber announces that its CEO, Hunter Newby, will be speaking at the following upcoming events this Fall; Kaufman Brothers 13th Annual Investor Conference, Global Telecom Business’ GTB 40 Under 40, IT Expo West, cnX4, The Broadband Expo, and LTE North America. Allied Fiber’s President and COO, Jason Cohen, will also be speaking at Capacity North America.

Mr. Newby is a fourteen year veteran of the telecommunications industry. Prior to founding Allied Fiber, he was Chief Strategy Officer at Telx, one of the leading carrier neutral interconnection facility operators in the U.S. Mr. Newby is well known throughout the network Interconnection and carrier hotel sector and is a recognized authority on Ethernet Transport and Voice Peering.

Allied Fiber’s next-generation network consists of both a long-haul and parallel short-haul route. The short-haul duct provides for access to the specific fiber cable in that duct on an intermediate basis acting as an on-ramp / off-ramp for laterals and sub-tending dark fiber rings to be built in and gain access to the long haul duct and fiber cable. The long haul route is directly accessible approximately every 60 miles within the Allied Fiber colocation facilities where equipment can be placed for regeneration, optical amplification as well as cross connects to DWM and Ethernet transport providers. The company’s Fiber to the Tower (FTTT) and Fiber to the Data Center (FTTDC) products are accessible every 3000 feet along the short haul route and potentially even shorter distances, making lateral extensions from the main fiber route to cell towers and data centers, particularly containers where abundant and inexpensive power is available, more accessible. Allied Fiber offers colocation along its route for network interconnection, offering leased cabinets, power and maintenance for customers in the system.
