TelePacific Communications Named One of Inc. Magazine’s Top 100 “Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America”

TelePacific Communications, the largest CLEC providing integrated voice and data telecommunications services to the small and medium-sized business (“SMB”) customer segment in California and Nevada, today announced it has once again been named one of Inc. Magazine's Top 100 "Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America" in the 2010 rankings. The company ranked 84th in the Top 100 Companies on the Inc. 5000 list by gross dollars of growth, having achieved 63 percent growth over the previous three years. 2010 marks the fourth consecutive year that TelePacific has been named to the Inc. list.

“The leaders of the companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 have figured out how to grow their businesses during the longest recession since the Great Depression,” said Inc. president Bob LaPointe. “The 2010 Inc. 5000 showcases a particularly hardy group of entrepreneurs.”

"TelePacific has grown consistently since our founding in 1998, even in challenging economic times, and we are honored to be recognized for the fourth year in a row for our continuing success," said Dick Jalkut, president and CEO of TelePacific. "We are never satisfied with the status quo and are always striving to improve on our reliable, high-quality services and support to ensure we exceed our customers’ expectations. Our success in those efforts is reflected in our year-over-year growth."

TelePacific has enhanced many of its current products in the past year and is expanding its services this fall with the introduction of TelePacific Mobile. The first offerings are data cards and MiFi hotspots to allow high-speed, 3G wireless access anywhere users can get cellular service. Voice products, including Blackberry devices, and wireless failover will be available later in 2010. The company also enhanced its Ethernet offerings with the addition of Ethernet over Copper (EoC) service now available in most California and Nevada markets. Ethernet services offer customers improved productivity, lower costs, scalable bandwidth and high performance with constant network monitoring.

Inc. 5000 posted an aggregate revenue of $321.6 billion in 2009, up more than 50 percent from the previous year. The top five industries by total revenue are Business Products & Services ($84.7 billion), Health ($48.3 billion), Consumer Products & Services ($26.4 billion), Retail ($22.3 billion), and Government Services ($15.1 billion). Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found on www.inc.com/5000.

The 2010 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2006 to 2009. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by June 30, 2006. Additionally, they had to be based in the United States, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2009.
