iland Expands Hybrid Cloud and IAAS Services With Telx

Cloud Computing Infrastructure Provider Leverages Telx’s Data Center Locations and Service Provider Ecosystem for Secure, Direct Delivery of Services in Atlanta, New York and Dallas

New York, NY (August 23, 2010)Telx®, a leading interconnection and colocation provider in strategic North American markets, today announced that iland™, a leading provider of cloud computing infrastructure, has expanded the geographic reach of its infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) services through Telx’s network-neutral data centers. Telx’s network-rich reliable data center facilities in Atlanta, New York City and Dallas have increased iland’s security level and uptime while enabling an accelerated response time to their customers’ needs.

“A key differentiator with Telx is their ability to bring us multiple connections with diverse providers, which enables us to uphold higher Service Level Agreements with our customers,” said Brian Ussher, President of iland. “We currently use Telx for colocation and interconnection services in Atlanta and New York and also offer our Hybrid Cloud out of Telx’s Dallas facility.  As iland continues to grow its customer base, we plan to add more cloud infrastructure services in other Telx facilities. With its 15 U.S. locations and robust service provider ecosystem, Telx has the national presence and offers the level of security and SAS 70 Type II compliance for IaaS that we were looking for.”

As a colocation partner, Telx delivers a secure, connection-rich environment where iland can offer low-latency access to its cloud applications and network infrastructure. iland is leveraging Telx’s 8435 Stemmons Freeway location in Dallas to power its unique Hybrid Cloud platform, which combines the benefits of private cloud computing with traditional colocation to enable a mixed virtual and physical environment. Telx’s interconnection service replaces the need for a public Internet connection, ensuring that the network is more secure, latency is reduced and quality of service is enhanced. This empowers iland customers to connect their private networks to the cloud.

“We are pleased to be iland’s colocation and interconnection choice in Atlanta, New York and Dallas,” said Rose Klimovich, VP of Product Management and Product Development at Telx. “Telx’s solutions have helped iland maintain the high standards that their customers demand for reliability, security, and latency of their on-demand infrastructure, while enabling them to focus on core competencies such as the continued development of competitive cloud offerings and meeting customer demand in these key U.S. markets.”
