Donna Grothjan and Lori Cornmesser Recognized as part of the “Elite CRN Power 100” — Honored for Exceptional Leadership and Dedication to Channel Partners’ Success
SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 28, 2010 — Juniper Networks® (NASDAQ:JNPR, news, filings) today announced that Everything Channel’s CRN Magazine has recognized two of its global channel executives in this year’s Top Women of the Channel — Donna Grothjan, vice president global channel strategy, and Lori Cornmesser, director service provider channel and managed services. The annual accolade honors key customer-facing female business leaders within vendor channel organizations, distributors, and solution providers.
Grothjan and Cornmesser were selected by CRN for the positive impact their leadership, contributions and executive influence continue to have on the Juniper Partner community and the technology industry overall. Their individual team efforts, combined with Juniper’s ongoing focus on technology innovation, partner profitability, business enablement, and total cost of ownership, have led to growth and success within the Juniper Partner community.
Further underscoring the networking leader’s channel success, Grothjan and Cornmesser were also recognized as two of the elite CRN Power 100. This exclusive list honors the IT industry’s top female channel executives who have reached the highest levels of the corporate ladder based on their professional achievements and influence wielded in the technology industry. This is the fourth consecutive year Grothjan has been named one of the IT industry’s Top Women of the Channel and the first year for Cornmesser.
Grothjan is a seasoned channel executive with more than 20 years of experience. As vice president of global channel strategy, she plays a pivotal role in the planning and execution of Juniper’s go-to-market strategy and is responsible for expanding Juniper’s worldwide distribution footprint. Under her leadership, Juniper improved its inventory management system last year with the goal of strengthening its partnerships and enabling greater product availability on a global scale. Her team also worked closely with Channel Marketing to ensure the success of the enhanced Juniper J-Partner Program and introduced new product specializations in areas such as advanced security and advanced network infrastructure. To further build Juniper Partner’s expertise, Grothjan has taken on an active role in the planning and execution of cross-training programs focused on the company’s growing networking portfolio, including its rapidly expanding line of EX Switches.
With more than 16 years of channel experience, Cornmesser kicked off 2009 with the launch of Juniper’s comprehensive managed service provider (MSP) program. Since its debut, the new program has resulted in 35 innovative offerings based on Juniper technology and available from Juniper Partners. In addition, Cornmesser spearheaded a number of new initiatives and resources designed to help Juniper Partners sell and market managed services to the enterprise more effectively. She continues to champion the success of Juniper’s MSP efforts by accelerating the introduction of new and relevant managed services to the market in conjunction with Juniper partners.
“It’s great to see these two executives recognized for their ongoing channel leadership and global contributions to the Juniper Partner community,” says Frank Vitagliano, Senior Vice President of Americas Partners at Juniper Networks. “We’ve invested greatly in the success of our Juniper Partners and introduced a number of new programs and initiatives that we expect will pay off for years to come. Empowering our partners to successfully market, sell, and deploy Juniper’s high-performance networking solutions is a top priority and one of the many differentiators we bring to the table for our channel partners.”
A special feature of the Women of the Channel is in the July 26th issue of CRN Magazine and expanded coverage will be featured online at www.crn.com.
