Thomson Reuters to lease data center space
EAGAN, Minn., July 21, 2010 – Thomson Reuters today announced it is adding a new data center to its operations. Thomson Reuters has completed an agreement to lease space in Minneapolis from XO Communications, one of the nation’s largest communications service providers, to house the new data center.
The facility will be the fourth data center for the company’s operations in Eagan, the headquarters for Thomson Reuters, Legal, and will support Thomson Reuters businesses worldwide. XO Communications will provide dedicated facility space, high-capacity network services, and necessary electrical and mechanical infrastructure. Thomson Reuters will operate and staff the facility with its equipment and personnel. Thomson Reuters employs more than 6,600 people in Minnesota and is one of the largest employers in Dakota County.
