TOKYO, JAPAN – NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced today the immediate launch in Japan of the 0035 Business Mode phone service, which enables charges for business and private calls made with a single mobile phone to be easily separated for billing.
The service frees companies from having to provide employees with a mobile phone. Employees can enjoy using their own mobile phone both for business and private calls, ending the need to carry two mobile phones, and they no longer have to calculate business-use phone expenses. Customers can set restrictions on charges, talk time and numbers dialed for business calls.
When making business calls, the employee basically enters a special number prior to dialing to have the charges billed to their company. For private calls, dialing and billing are handled as usual via the person’s mobile provider.
The basic monthly fee for the service is just 3,150 yen (including tax) for up to 500 numbers. Calls to fixed-line phones are charged at 21 yen/min and to mobile phones 31.5 yen/min.
