Sanford (Sandy) Brown Joins CENX as Chief Executive Officer

Chicago, Monday July 12th, 2010. CENX, Inc., operator of the world’s first and most connected Carrier Ethernet exchange, today announced the appointment of Sanford (Sandy) Brown as its Chief Executive Officer.  Sandy brings to CENX more than 15 years of executive and operational experience with the world’s largest communications company, AT&T, where he was responsible for multi-billion dollar lines of business, including the successful development and deployment of AT&T’s award-winning Carrier Ethernet services.

Sandy began his distinguished career at AT&T and Bell Labs with many roles in various divisions/functions, including research, engineering, business development, strategy, channel alliance, access services, product management and general management. Among his accomplishments, Sandy pioneered the hosting/business Internet services within AT&T, now a multi-billion dollar business. Most recently, he served as vice president of AT&T, responsible for multi-billion dollar lines of business including AT&T’s premiere Carrier Ethernet services.
