Internap Enhances Managed Hosting Solution with High-Performance Servers, Multiple Storage Options and Layered Data Protection

Combines with Internap’s Performance IP™, XIP™ and Content Delivery Network (CDN) solutions for businesses focused on network performance, availability and scalability

ATLANTA – July 21, 2010 — Internap Network Services Corporation (NASDAQ: INAP), a leading provider of end-to-end Internet business products and services, today announced significant expansions to its Managed Hosting solution. Internap is now extending its core offering to include high-performance servers, multiple enterprise-class storage options, a layered approach to data protection and the addition of a new managed security service, as part of the solution set that can be tailored to fit a broad range of customer-specific requirements and complex applications. These capabilities are now available from the company’s Managed Hosting locations in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Tier1 Research reports that the global managed hosting market is expected to reach nearly $13 billion USD in revenue in 2010 and grow 50% by 2012. Much of this growth will be driven by enterprise IT trends as businesses increasingly look to focus their IT resources on revenue-producing and customer-supporting activities. Internap’s expanded product-line is specifically designed to increase the addressable market for Internap solutions by meeting the requirements of a broader set of enterprises. Additionally, Internap brings unique value to its Managed Hosting customers through its complementary networking technologies, including Performance IP, XIP and CDN. Performance IP provides network connectivity with dynamic route selection across all major Internet backbone carriers, thereby minimizing latency, while XIP (Accelerated IP) accelerates outbound TCP-based traffic from the application to the client for improving the end-user experience.

“These key features add to what is already a robust managed hosting service offering,” said John Freimuth, vice president of managed hosting services at Internap. “Coupled with Internap’s network performance capabilities, IP acceleration, CDN and unparalleled support – our Managed Hosting service clearly provides superior value for organizations that rely on the Internet to support their growing business.”

Internap’s Managed Hosting solutions are designed by their dedicated engineering and operations teams who provide customized solutions that address customer-specific performance, security and reliability concerns. Internap supports the design with a full suite of services including equipment acquisition, installation, configuration, 24/7 monitoring and proactive maintenance. These flexible services include:

• High-Performance Servers – base, standard and enterprise performance options anchored by Dell© servers with expanded processing and memory ranges to address the demands of large databases and virtualized clusters.

• Managed Enterprise Storage – multiple storage options, including Direct Attached Storage (DAS), Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Network (SAN) products leveraging Dell© and NetApp© solutions.

• Layered Data Protection – daily and weekly data back-ups for files and databases, data restoration and redundant hard drives in each server to protect customer investments.

• Virtualization – planning, management and deployment of a VMware®-based solution with multiple OS instances on a single server for flexible, cost-effective computing resources.

• Managed Security – comprehensive security through Alert Logic featuring vulnerability assessment, intrusion detection and log management.

Internap understands a hosting solution is only as good as the people managing it, so the company’s certified IT professionals follow ITIL-based processes, and the data centers are SAS 70 Type II audited facilities. Internap’s Managed Hosting locations are monitored 24/7 from redundant Network Operations Centers and offer customers multiple options for communications, including phone, email, web portal and live chat.
