Philips Net TV provides easy access to the internet via the TV. It enables consumers to browse websites and access online services on their Philips TV using just their remote control. Philips Net TV brings the TV and internet experiences together in an open, easy to use and standardized environment, creating an enriched interactive TV viewing experience.
With TeliaSonera International Carrier’s Media Distribution Service platform integrated, managing the distribution of video content from upload right through to TVs via TeliaSonera’s own fibre optic network – Philips Net TV will now also bring digital video stores direct to consumers’ homes anywhere in Europe, providing, high quality premium video on demand. Philips Net TV is available on the Philips 7000, 8000 and 9000 series TVs, as well as the Cinema 21:9.
Working with TeliaSonera International Carrier, multiple major VoD partners have already been signed up, including VideoFutur in France and Belgium, Video Land in Benelux and film2home in the Nordics. Other websites available via Philips Net TV include YouTube, TomTom, eBay, MeteoGroup, Funspot, Dailymotion, Screendreams and Netlog, all of which are offered in a simple to use ‘made-for-TV’ layout.
