IPC’s Third Annual Music Charity Fundraiser Raised $36,000 to Help Support Music Programs in Schools
Jersey City, N.J. – June 14, 2010 – On May 20th 2010, IPC Systems, Inc., a leading provider of indispensable trading communications solutions to the world‟s top financial services firms, hosted their third annual charity event to support Little Kids Rock, a non-profit organization that brings free music instruments and music instruction to underserved schools across America.
Over 400 IPC employees, friends and community members gathered at the Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza for a night of musical frivolity and fun to support the cause. The event garnered $18,000 in ticket sales, raffle ticket sales and sponsorships. IPC matched the donation for a total donation package of $36,000.
“Budget cuts have forced many schools to eliminate music programs altogether, and those still running often require the generosity of local corporations,” said David Wish, Executive Director, Little Kids Rock. “Companies like IPC help keep this program alive, and in turn, nurture musical abilities at a young age. Without it, kids may not have the opportunity to realize their talents or share them with the rest of us.”
IPC hosted its first annual charity Battle of the Bands in 2008, raising more than $15,000 for Winthrop University Hospital‟s Cancer Center for Kids (CCK). In 2009, event participation doubled, as did the donation amount to CCK.

This year, in addition to a donation to CCK, we are proud to support Little Kids Rock to help put music back in the hands of the children,” said Marianne Leitch, Senior Vice President, IPC Global Operations.
