Addition of proven sales leader is part of Internap’s ongoing strategy to expand sales team in key markets for new business and customer growth
ATLANTA, June 1, 2010 — Internap Network Services Corporation (NASDAQ: INAP), a global provider of end-to-end Internet business products and services, today announced the expansion of its sales team with the addition of Michael Koidahl as sales director for the Pacific Northwest region, which includes Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Koidahl brings more than 21 years of technology sales and sales leadership experience to Internap from industry-leading organizations such as Verizon Business, Singlestep Technologies and Westwind Computing.
In his position, Koidahl is responsible for developing new business and selling Internap’s IP services, managed hosting, colocation and Content Delivery Network (CDN) solutions to a wide range of organizations, as well as further developing the company’s sales team in the Pacific Northwest.
“Michael has had years of success selling to enterprise accounts in the Pacific Northwest,” said Randal Thompson, senior vice president of global sales at Internap. “His technology background and business acumen will allow him to drive new business and help our customers optimize their network connectivity as they move toward new IT models such as cloud computing and Software-as-a-Service.”
Prior to joining Internap, Koidahl served as regional sales director for Verizon Business, where he was responsible for sales and revenue growth from enterprise customers throughout Washington. Over a 16-year career with Westwind Computing, one of the first enterprise system integrators for Apple, Koidahl served major accounts including Amgen, Eddie Bauer, Hasbro and Microsoft. Koidahl holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of Washington.
