Terremark Unveils Office Building at NAP of the Capital Region

Campus Headquarters Facility Offers SCIF-Standard Auditorium, Premium Office Space

MIAMI, May 03, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) –Terremark Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ:TMRK), a leading global provider of managed IT infrastructure services, today announced the opening of the 72,000-square-foot headquarters building at its Network Access Point (NAP) of the Capital Region campus. The building includes a 150-seat auditorium built to the Federal government’s Physical Security Standards for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) and approximately 50,000 square feet of Class A office space that can be built to SCIF specifications in order to meet customer demands.

Along with the highly secure meeting and office space available to Federal government and enterprise customers, the NAP of the Capital Region’s headquarters building will be home to Terremark’s newest, state-of-the-art Network Operations Center (NOC) and conference rooms featuring advanced audiovisual and teleconferencing equipment to connect Terremark employees and customers worldwide. The building, which will also house the company’s on-campus staff, is equipped with fully redundant backup systems for power and cooling infrastructure.

“Opening the headquarters building at the NAP of the Capital Region is a major milestone in the development of this highly sophisticated datacenter campus,” said Bruce Hart, COO of Terremark Federal Group. “Terremark can now offer customers built-to-suit office space and an ultra-secure area for their meetings, adding yet another layer of customization and value that we can deliver to Federal government agencies and large enterprises.”

The NAP of the Capital Region’s headquarters building will serve as the central hub of operations for the campus, which is strategically located 60 miles outside of Washington D.C. in Culpeper County, VA and is currently home to two, 50,000-square-foot datacenter facilities built to exceed Federal government standards for data communications and hosting sites, including cloud computing infrastructure. As a result of securing contracts for more than 75 percent of the space within the two existing facilities, Terremark recently launched construction of the third 50,000-square-foot datacenter on the site.
