Buenos Aires, Argentina — Global Crossing (NASDAQ: GLBC), a leading global IP solutions provider, today announced the launching in Latin America of its Advanced Security Testing solution, a risk management solution for information security focused on an organization’s IT infrastructure.

Advanced Security Testing integrates different types of vulnerability analyses and penetration tests, performed both from the Internet and the customer’s LAN.  It provides comprehensive and current information for use in the decision making process pertaining to information and infrastructure risk levels.

Advanced Security Testing allows for the simplification of an otherwise complex process – risk management – by reducing diagnosis and implementation times, and decreasing risks.  Through the Advanced Security Testing solution, customers receive a monthly report showing updated risk levels for infrastructure components, as well as recommendations from Global Crossing’s experts on how best to mitigate risks.

“With Advanced Security Testing, we can broaden the security solutions portfolio we offer customers in Latin America,” said Gabriel del Campo, senior vice president, Data Center, Security and Outsourcing for Global Crossing Latin America and global product manager.  “This solution enhances our overall capabilities to make recommendations in order to strengthen our customer´s security and protect their critical assets together with the managed security services we provide.”

Advanced Security Testing complies with ISO 27001 norm guidelines in that it is based on a continuous risk management process that provides the client with evidence of compliance, using reports generated by experts.
