Covenant Church Selects tw telecom for Co-location, Data and Voice Services to Connect 12 North Texas Locations

– 15,000-member church signs multi-year agreement to expand tw telecom services

DALLAS – April 21, 2010 – tw telecom (NASDAQ:TWTC, news, filings), a leading provider of managed voice, Internet and data networking solutions for businesses in the Dallas area and throughout the U.S., today announced that Covenant Church has selected the company to provide a suite of co-location, voice, data and Internet services. Covenant Church is an existing tw telecom customer, and the new multi-year agreement expands the services tw telecom will provide to the church.
“Having already been a tw telecom customer, we knew the reliability and customer service experience tw telecom provides,” said Antonio Montez, Director of Information Technology at Covenant Church. “That existing relationship, combined with tw telecom’s strong co-location facilities and metro fiber network that reaches all of our North Texas locations, made it an easy decision to expand our relationship with them.”

Pastors Mike and Kathy Hayes founded Covenant Church in Carrollton, Tex., in 1976, and the church has since grown to more than 15,000 members and 12 locations throughout North Texas. In addition to offering higher quality and more affordable data and digital voice connectivity among the church’s locations, tw telecom’s services will allow the church to stream high-quality video of services and events to all of its locations.

“Covenant Church has grown by ministering to the needs of its members, and we’re pleased that tw telecom services have helped – and will continue to help – the church connect with its members and the communities in which it serves,” said Will Sears, vice president and general manager for tw telecom in Dallas. “It is also gratifying whenever an existing customer such as Covenant Church chooses to expand its relationship with us.”

tw telecom connects more commercial buildings to its fiber network than any other competitive communications provider. In fact, it has the third highest market share of retail Ethernet ports in service. With its own metro fiber networks and one of the ten most interconnected IP backbones in the world, tw telecom has the national capability, robust product portfolio and national/local customer care teams to support mission critical enterprise applications and to deliver the industry’s most sought after customer experience.
