17-year telecom veteran has helped grow indirect dealer channel
GREENVILLE, S.C. – PHONE+ magazine, a publication of Virgo Publishing LLC for the telecommunications indirect sales channel, has announced that Dan Sterling, vice president of Windstream’s (formerly NuVox’s) dealer channel, has been named the Channel Executive of the Year.
Sterling, along with the other finalists, was recognized at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo. Sterling also will be featured in the April issue of PHONE+.

To determine the Channel Executive of the Year, PHONE+ solicited nominations and votes from channel partners. To be eligible, a nominee must have been the top person in the company’s channel operations – at the executive level of vice president or higher – at a telecom vendor (network operator/service provider/manufacturer). Channel partners were then asked to vote for the Channel Executive of the Year based on nominees’ leadership, longevity, innovation and contribution to the indirect channel.
Sterling is a 17-year veteran in the telecommunications industry and an original shareholder of NuVox, which was acquired by Windstream in February. Since NuVox's inception, the dealer program, under Sterling's leadership, has grown each year. Sterling is based in Greenville, S.C.
