The partnership drives a new revenue stream for Telx, while allowing WTG to offer best-in-class, carrier-neutral, cost-effective and secure connectivity to its national business communications customers.

New York, NY – (March 1, 2010)Telx®, the leading interconnection and colocation provider in strategic North American markets, announced today that it has entered an independent marketing partnership agreement with World Telecom Group (WTG), one of the largest and most diverse national telecom Master Agents. Under the terms of the partnership agreement, Telx has engaged WTG as a marketing and sales agent on a non-exclusive basis, and WTG’ Telecom Agents can now offer their customers the best in carrier-neutral connectivity choice and colocation in all 15 of Telx’s North American locations.

“WTG is proud to be a channel partner with Telx, one of the fastest-growing interconnection and colocation companies in the U.S. today,” said Vince Bradley, President and CEO, World Telecom Group. “We see great value in the fact that Telx is carrier-neutral, allowing our customers to be one cross-connect away from a secure, direct connection to any of the 750 carriers, ISPs, media/content and enterprises within the Telx ecosystem. With Telx, our agents can offer our business communications customers the power of choice.”

The partnership agreement is also channel neutral, eliminating overlap with other Telx and WTG channel partners. This allows Telx sales executives to provide direct marketing and sales support to WTG agents, resulting in a higher close rate and a more collaborative channel relationship that benefits both companies.

“WTG is not only a leader in business communications innovation, but their channel partner program is second to none. This powerful new alliance will help us grow our interconnection and colocation facilities nationwide, while helping WTG provide the most choice in connectivity to their customers,” said Eric Shepcaro, CEO of Telx. “This channel partnership will give WTG agents a competitive edge as they seek rapid market entry in key U.S. markets, giving their business communications customers the ability to choose from literally hundreds of providers while keeping connectivity costs low.”

Both WTG (Booth 1417) and Telx (Booth 1226) will be exhibitors at the Channel Partners Conference and Expo 2010, March 1-3, 2010 in Las Vegas. WTG was a winner of the 2009 “Best in Show” Award at the Channel Partners Conference. For joint interviews, please e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
