Global Crossing Delivers Connectivity Solutions to Phoenix NAP Datacenter

Phoenix, AZ, March 30, 2010 – Phoenix NAP®, a next generation datacenter and network access point, today announced Global Crossing (NASDAQ: GLBC), a leading global IP solutions provider, has completed a fiber build into the Phoenix NAP facility. Global Crossing’s presence in the NAP will enable tenants of the new datacenter to easily access Global Crossing’s premier IP-based network to support their IP and data networking needs.

“As a network access point it is important for us to offer high-quality connectivity solutions while simultaneously recognizing the differing requirements of clients. The Global Crossing network is designed to meet the most demanding of needs, and we are very excited to have them in our datacenter,” said Ian McClarty, president of Phoenix NAP.

Global Crossing services are delivered over its worldwide subsea and terrestrial systems at sustained availability levels of 99.998 percent to meet the capacity demands of today’s data intensive businesses. As a new point of presence on the Global Crossing network, Phoenix NAP will give carrier and enterprise customers access to the broad portfolio of Global Crossing services. At this location, Global Crossing can leverage its Tier 1 IP Backbone and reach 100 percent of the Internet, as well as its fully converged MPLS/VPN network and WAN Transport solutions. This investment demonstrates the growing interest in the Phoenix market in relation to Disaster Recovery requirements.

“The evolving needs of businesses demand that today’s network solutions deliver flexibility, efficiency, capacity and performance,” said David Siegel, Global Crossing’s vice president, switched data product management. “Global Crossing is always looking for ways to expand its on-net footprint in key strategic locations, and we are delighted to be able to offer the tenants of Phoenix NAP access to one of the largest Tier1 ISPs globally, as well as our comprehensive portfolio of IP-based solutions. We look forward to helping them make the right tactical choices now, while building a long-term network and services strategy that is right for their organizations.”

Phoenix NAP clients can select which network carrier they would like to have supply their connectivity solution. They also have the option of working directly with a carrier, such as Global Crossing, or working with Phoenix NAP staff to procure service.
