  • By leveraging Telx’s carrier-neutral, connection rich colocation facility, Criteo now has more connectivity choice and more reliability and resiliency of network to ensure uptime with retail customers.

New York, NY (March 18, 2010)Telx®, a leading interconnection and colocation provider in strategic North American markets, today announced that Criteo, a global personalized online advertising retargeting company, has selected Telx as its interconnection and colocation partner in the United States. Criteo has established a Point of Presence (PoP) and is a colocation customer in Telx’s 111 8th Ave. location in New York City. By selecting Telx’s carrier-neutral colocation services, Criteo has the connectivity choice and flexibility to increase the reliability and security of large amounts of data being transported between the U.S. and its locations across Europe.

“Telx is the only colocation provider in the heart of Manhattan who could offer the space and power we required, along with a large ecosystem of 290 carriers and providers to choose from,” said Arthur Chevalier, head of U.S. Network Engineering and Interconnections for Criteo. “Telx is a major part of our U.S. expansion plan, serving as our data center and connectivity partner on the East Coast.”

Criteo relies on the Telx provider ecosystem to provide U.S.-based data connections that transport mission-critical information about the shopping habits of customers visiting its e-commerce clients. This information is used by Criteo to dynamically develop real-time display advertising that retargets shoppers who have previously visited the websites of their Internet retailer customers, making low latency and high network availability absolutely paramount.

“In our industry, it is important to show the right ad content to the right person at the right time,” Chevalier said. “Telx helps us meet this goal by delivering direct access to hundreds of service provider connections we need to maintain direct access to our retailers’ information at any time.”

“We are proud that Criteo has chosen our carrier-neutral colocation and interconnection facility at 111 8th Avenue to establish its East Coast operations activity,” said Eric Shepcaro, CEO of Telx. “Enterprises in the digital advertising industry, where information is moving and changing very quickly, are in need of secure, low latency connectivity solutions that allow them to make rapid business decisions and meet their customers’ availability demands.”
