GAITHERSBURG, MD – January 20, 2010 – BroadSoft, Inc., the worldwide leader of VoIP applications to the telecommunications industry, today will discuss how enterprises can benefit from an integrated communications solution and leverage the powerful productivity tools available through IP technology at Technology Marketing Corporation’s ITEXPO East 2010. The company joins Polycom, Verizon, AudioCodes and other industry leaders to present its views on the future of IP communications.
“We are very pleased that BroadSoft® will be participating in this year’s show. BroadSoft is respected as an industry leader, and I am confident that our attendees will appreciate and value the opportunity to hear the company’s perspectives,” said TMC Chief Executive Officer Rich Tehrani.
“The Evolution of Enterprise Telecommunications”
This panel focuses on what enterprises, and service providers that support them, should expect in terms of service evolution in the near future. Several important trends are influencing enterprise communications, including the growing importance of employee mobility and the movement toward integrating voice services with cloud-based applications. BroadSoft will outline how enterprises can increase efficiency and service providers can enhance the value of their service offerings by adopting these technologies.
“What does IP Communications Enable in the Contact Center?”
This session dives into the business benefits and technological advantages of IP Communications for a contact center. BroadSoft will outline the benefits of a fully “UC-enabled” call center and how an Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) service can provide a unified experience to both the agent and organization.
“We are committed to providing service providers with innovative IP-powered communication services and look forward to sharing our insights on how enterprises can benefit from these capabilities,” said Leslie Ferry, vice president of marketing at BroadSoft.
BroadSoft also announced its participation in the ITEXPO Voice App Contest. TMC is partnering with the organizers of StartupCamp Telephony and The Cloud Communications Summit to host the event’s inaugural voice application contest, which will bring together communications mashups from various voice developer communities. As an early adopter of open development platforms and Web services application programming interfaces (APIs), BroadSoft was invited to introduce some of the standout third-party applications from its Xtended Developer Program during The Cloud Communications Summit today. The overall contest winner will be selected on January 21st at the StartupCamp Telephony event.
Ferry continued, “BroadSoft was among the first companies in the VoIP industry to open its platform to third-party application development and, through our Xtended program, has been a driving force in promoting openness in the service provider community. Being asked to participate in the ITEXPO Voice App Contest acknowledges our achievements in moving the market forward in this area during the last two years.”
ITEXPO 2010 takes place January 20-22 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida. At the 2009 East coast event last February, the show drew over 8,000 buyers and sellers of IP communications products and services. For more information, visit http://www.tmcnet.com/voip/conference/.
