Bulk Infrastructure Partners with Epsilon to Accelerate Cloud Access for Service Providers in the Oslo Internet Exchange

Norway’s leading Data Centre Developer has signed a network partner agreement with Epsilon to provide an on-demand connectivity platform delivering Global Cloud Access at the click of a button

Oslo, 9th January 2018 – Epsilon, a privately owned global communications Service Provider, has partnered with Bulk Infrastructure, Norway’s leading Data Centre Developer to deliver rapid access to the world’s leading Cloud Service Providers. Bulk Infrastructure will be deploying the Cloud Link eXchange (CloudLX) module of the Infiny by Epsilon on-demand connectivity platform in its Oslo Internet Exchange (OS-IX) carrier hotel.

Service Providers in the Oslo Internet Exchange will now be able to rapidly interconnect new services globally in and out of Bulk’s OS-IX facility at the click of a button. The deployment creates a major aggregation point for local Network Service Providers, Internet Service Providers, Carriers and Cloud Service Providers. Epsilon will be deploying a full Point-of-Presence (PoP) within Bulk’s OS-IX facility, expanding its global interconnect fabric in the Nordics and enabling it to serve local and global customers.

“Bulk Infrastructure has a unique vision for the market and we are proud to support them with on-demand connectivity to the Cloud. The combination of robust data centre infrastructure and presence in the OS-IX creates an ideal scenario for deploying CloudLX and giving its customers rapid access to a global Cloud Service Provider community. It gains the scalability and flexibility to support the growth of the Cloud locally and around the world,” said Carl Roberts, CCO at Epsilon.

Bulk Infrastructure is a leading Norwegian data centre infrastructure developer specialising in the development of data centre real estate, data centre services and fibre optic infrastructure with a focus on dark fibre. Its OS-IX carrier hotel facility acts as an aggregation centre and enterprise connect point for Norway.

Bulks N01 Campus is located in Vennesla, southern Norway. With more than 300 hectares next to 3,600 MW of hydroelectric power, the N01 Campus aims to become the world’s largest data centre campus on 100% renewable energy. It is a highly connected facility with existing network reach to the FLAP markets. In addition to today’s network, Bulk is also a co-builder of the Havfrue transatlantic subsea fibre cable together with Facebook and AquaComms. By Q4 2019, Bulk aims to complete subsea networks to connect the N01 Campus further with USA, Ireland and Germany.

“We want to create Norway as one of the world’s most attractive locations for digital services and data centres. CloudLX gives our customers the ability to serve growing Cloud demands with new agility. It has a model that matches user expectations while also offering them the flexibility to grow. Epsilon is greatly simplifying a multi-cloud connecting strategy, enabling our customers gain control over their services which will in turn allow them to benefit from new efficiency and speed when accessing the Cloud. That will support their growth in the long-term,” said Peder Naerboe, Owner and Chairman at Bulk Infrastructure.

The CloudLX module of Infiny by Epsilon gives users on-demand access to Cloud Service Providers like Alibaba Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure as well as the world’s leading Internet Exchanges. CloudLX simplifies how Service Providers of all kinds connect to the Cloud and gives them greater control over their services with procurement and management via a web-based portal. In addition to Cloud Access, Infiny by Epsilon offers on-demand Data Connectivity, Enterprise Access, SIP Trunking and Numbering via a single connection.
