Philadelphia’s University City Science Center Engages with Comcast Business Ethernet

High Speed Internet Fully Supports the Microsoft Reactor Center to Advance Local Entrepreneurial Community

PHILADELPHIAFEBRUARY 13, 2017Comcast Business today announced it is providing high performance Ethernet services to Philadelphia’s start-up and tech communities at The Microsoft Reactor, a hub for entrepreneurs and technologists that is located on the ground floor of the University City Science Center’s corporate offices at uCity Square. The full-service Comcast Business Ethernet line provides a scalable enterprise-grade service to support various programs, events and start-up businesses.

Designed to strengthen Microsoft’s connection to Philadelphia, The Microsoft Reactor is a community hub providing support and resources to students, entrepreneurs and developers to foster innovation, collaboration and economic development. Entrepreneurs and the local business community will use the center for networking events and educational opportunities, and will benefit from access to Microsoft technologies, allowing for fast and seamless web research and communication.

Located at 3711 Market Street, The Microsoft Reactor is a collaboration of the Science Center, local venture capital firm SeventySix Capital and Wexford Science + Technology, a real estate firm that partners with universities, academic medical centers and research companies to develop innovation communities. The 100 Megabit per second (Mbps) Ethernet Dedicated Internetservice from Comcast Business will support the Reactor’s internal and external network and Wi-Fi offering. Students and technology enthusiasts can easily share large files with other innovation hubs, investors and colleagues as well as receive demonstrations on the latest Microsoft technologies.
