CenturyLink wins U.S. Senate contract

WASHINGTON, Dec. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — CenturyLink, Inc. (CTL) recently won a multi-year contract worth approximately $11.4 million to provide U.S. Senate state offices with a unified communications-as-a-service platform for hosted voice-over-internet-protocol (VoIP) service.

The contract award includes the installation, maintenance, operation and management of  CenturyLink-supplied hardware, software, training and help desk support to provide VoIP service to more than 450 Senate offices in all 50 states.

The contract was awarded by the office of the U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms, which is responsible for all Senate telecommunications and technology support services for U.S. Senate offices in Washington, D.C., as well as in the states.

The three-year contract, which is worth approximately $3.8 million a year, has four one-year options and a total value of roughly $26 million.
