CenturyLink offers gigabit service to more than 4,000 businesses in Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota

Fiber-ready services available in 484 multi-tenant office buildings

OMAHA, Neb.  CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE:CTL, news, filings) announced today that fiber-ready broadband speeds up to 1 gigabit per second (Gbps) are now available to 4,318 small to large business customers in 484 multi-tenant unit (MTU) office buildings in communities throughout Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

With 25 percent of the world’s economy expected to be digital by 2020, according to Accenture’s January 2016 Digital Economic Value Index, CenturyLink is pleased to offer MTU-based businesses gigabit service with symmetrical upload and download speeds of 1 Gbps, as well as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), cloud-based services and managed IT solutions.

  • 2,830 businesses in Omaha,
  • 95 businesses in Papillion,
  • 90 businesses in Grand Island,
  • 400 businesses in Sioux Falls,
  • 112 businesses in Rapid City,
  • 302 businesses in Fargo and
  • 176 businesses in Bismarck.

Businesses within these buildings now have access to multiple wide-area network connections delivered over fiber, including multiprotocol label switching virtual private network (MPLS-VPN), metro Ethernet and the latest software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) solution.
