Check Out Sprint’s New Advertising – A Tongue in Cheek Look at Verizon

In a series of new ads from Sprint, which will first launch on TV and later in digital, Sprint takes a tongue in cheek look at a visibly distraught farce of a team of Verizon head honchos as they come face to face with the reality of why consumers are switching to Sprint:

  • 50% off –Sprint will save customers 50% off the price of most Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile standard rate plans1;
  • Unlimited Freedom – Customers can get one line of unlimited talk, text and data for $60 – Verizon doesn’t even offer unlimited2;
  • Network — It’s 2016, and all networks perform well…in fact, Sprint’s network reliability performs within 1% of Verizon3!

These bold strides are making the executives in Verizon headquarters noticeably uncomfortable, in the ads.

“Customers have caught on and they’re smarter than Verizon gives them credit for,” said Roger Sole, chief marketing officer at Sprint.  “They recognize the savings they get with Sprint, along with a network that’s better than it ever has been. We wanted to have some fun in a new set of ads, characterizing what we expect the mood to be at Verizon’s headquarters. By contrast, Sprint employees and executives feel very positive about the momentum at our company, the new pricing offers for customers and our network improvements.”

Guess Paul Marcarelli, the guy who used to ask if you could hear me now with Verizon and who is appearing in other Sprint ads, isn’t the only one who is switching to Sprint! Don’t let a 1% difference in network reliability cost you twice as much.
