LOCATION INTELLIGENCE COMPANY SELECTS ZAYO FOR MAJOR NETWORK UPGRADE

Zayo to provide an international Ethernet solution

BOULDER, Colo. – September 2, 2016 – A leading location intelligence company has selected Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ZAYO) for an Ethernet upgrade to support current and future connectivity needs. The network will connect more than 20 locations in North America, South America and Europe and leverages existing Zayo network, including recently acquired assets from Allstream and Viatel.

Zayo is providing a Layer 2 solution that enables the customer to connect key office locations with core data centers, integrating into its multi-vendor network. As a result, the customer has a streamlined network with the flexibility to scale, which supports its plans to develop a global location platform.

Mapping intelligence is widely used today in navigation applications for mobile devices and vehicles, including cars, boats and drones. The technology is key in driverless cars, which will collect and process data in real time from a variety of in-car sensors.

“Zayo’s rich assets in the North America and Europe, in addition to our expansive Global Reach partnerships, made this the ideal combination of capabilities for this customer,” said Tyler Coates, senior director, Ethernet at Zayo. “We look forward to building this relationship as we continue to leverage our technology and the power of our global assets.”
