Comba Telecom Launches New-Generation Ultra-wideband Compact 4G Antennas

Further Enhances Antenna Solutions

(13 July 2016,Hong Kong)- Comba Telecom Systems Holdings Limited (“Comba Telecom” or “the Group”), a global leading wireless solutions provider, announced that the new generation of ultra-wideband (1710-2690MHz) Compact 4G Antennas launched in February 2016 have passed tests conducted by China Telecom, and have been deployed in several cities across China, providing a rapid fix for the issue of weak coverage in high wireless traffic areas, while allowing for scalability and further improvements in antenna solutions for the global 4G network.

Comba Telecom’s R&D is fully committed to reducing the physical size of antennas without compromising performance. As early as 2013, the group had launched a generation (1710~2170MHz) of compact 4G base station antennas, featuring the same-level performance as existing counterparts yet smaller in footprint and more lightweight. Deployments by wireless carriers and industry peers worldwide have led to over 550,000 units being shipped to date. The newly launched next generation of ultra-wideband (1710-2690MHz) compact 4G antennas is the result of Comba Telecom’s continuous innovations in terms of combining a reduced footprint and wideband technologies.

2. Comba Telecom took the lead in launching a flat, highly integrated, multi-port, screw-free phase shifter in 2014, representing the highest level of its class.

3. Radiation characteristics represent the best of its class.

4. The product is highly stable and reliable for long-term use, as all core components are produced using automation and raw materials that are supplied by world-renowned brands while the one-off pass rate among mass-produced intermodulation products is high.

Mr. Zhang Yuejun, Vice Chairman and President of Comba Telecom said, “Compact, multi-band, active mode and intelligent solutions are the development trend of next-generation mobile communication networks and antenna technologies, with the small form factor being the foundation. Based on the results of Comba Telecom’s research into miniaturization technology, our compact antenna technology provides solutions to network construction issues such as difficulties encountered in site selection and base station construction, helping to increase efficiency and reduce costs associated with the build out of base stations.”

“Our R&D team has been at the forefront of technology. In addition to developing compact antenna technologies, we have also upgraded the low gain, ultra-wideband and compact antennas in a concealed design by adopting a new antenna shape and installation method so that the antennas can be installed on traffic light poles, traffic control structures and directional signs on roadways and thoroughfares, without taking up undue space on roofs, poles and towers, and can be naturally integrated with the surrounding environment. The product has been deployed and is now in use in several cities across China due to the unit’s small size and flexible installation. As a leading global provider of wireless solutions, Comba Telecom will continue to develop and enhance a variety of antenna technologies, in order to lead the development of antenna solutions.”
