Onvoy Commits to TNS with New Seven Figure Agreement

RESTON, VA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–

Onvoy, one of the leading providers of wholesale telecommunication services in the US, has signed a major new agreement with Transaction Network Services (TNS) for a range of Toll Free 8XX, Carrier ENUM, Trunk Signaling and Network Connectivity solutions. Through this agreement Onvoy will migrate all of its traffic to TNS’ network.

Surendra Saboo, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Onvoy, said: “We have made the strategic decision to migrate to TNS for these core services because of a number of significant factors, including their proven reliability and high quality solutions.

“We have worked with them previously on a limited scale and, during this time, they demonstrated their expertise and knowledge very successfully. The way they manage their services, combined with a cost-effective proposition, mean we are very pleased to be broadening our partnership with them.”

TNS is a leading provider of mobile roaming and clearing, call management and authentication, fraud management, mobile identity, registry and network interoperability solutions. It has over 500 operator partners across the US and has amassed more than 25 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry.

Joe Lueckenhoff, Executive Vice President and General Manager of TNS’ TelecommunicationServices Division, said: “We’re delighted to be providing these vital services to Onvoy. Our resilient telecommunication solutions are built on innovative technology and are scalable and accessible by multiple methods. Onvoy’s decision to sign this major agreement with us is testament to the hard work of our dedicated and talented team who ensure the delivery of our services.

“We continuously integrate and build on our networks while enhancing our long-standing relationships with carriers. TNS’ networks are specifically designed and configured for the transmission of transaction-related time sensitive data and support a variety of widely accepted communications protocols.”

TNS’ Carrier ENUM routes calls to ported numbers and allows porting operations to be managed with ease, speed, accuracy and security. TNS’ Trunk Signaling delivers call routing and access to intelligent services for all service providers. It is designed for maximum diversity and routing efficiency, and helps reduce the cost and complexity of engineering network operations.

Toll Free 8XX services from TNS enable carriers to provide subscribers with access to 800, 888 and 866 numbers, and users can generate detailed web-based reports including carrier identification code summaries.

TNS’ Network Connectivity suite gives direct access to the PSTN and hundreds of carriers, helping users save time and money by improving network reliability. A single point of interconnection gives access to multiple SS7 node types, as well as to a host of intelligent database services.
