QTS Announces Executive Leadership Changes

Changes Demonstrate Successful Integration of Carpathia Hosting
Overland Park, Kan. (May 26, 2016) – Nearly one year after acquiring Carpathia Hosting and significantly increasing its data center, cloud and managed service offerings, QTS Realty Trust (NYSE: QTS) is announcing executive leadership changes to support future company development. Peter Weber, former CEO of Carpathia and head of the integration efforts, has chosen to depart QTS to pursue outside interests.

“The primary goal for the integration of QTS and Carpathia was to strengthen QTS’ ability to deliver the nation’s only fully integrated technology platform, and Peter Weber played a key role in helping us achieve that goal,” said Chad Williams, Chairman & CEO – QTS. “We thank him for his contribution and wish him continued success as we move QTS toward the next phase of our growth.”

In addition, QTS has strengthened its executive suite by appointing Jon Greaves to the new role of Chief Technology Officer, reporting directly to Williams. Greaves is a recognized technology services leader, having spent a significant part of his career in managed services, information security and operations. During his seven years at Carpathia, Greaves served many roles including Chief Scientist / Chief Information Security Officer and was a key driver to Carpathia’s success. Prior to joining Carpathia, Greaves was a Distinguished Engineer and CTO of Sun Services’ global engineering team.

“Jon’s expertise will continue to add value for our customers as he influences the strategic vision of QTS’ technology platforms,” said Williams. “In the last year, Jon’s unique perspectives have already resulted in new, innovative solutions for QTS customers.”

Additional Carpathia veterans with key QTS leadership roles include Brent Bensten, who continues as Chief Technology Officer-Product Development; Phil Hedlund, who moved to Vice President of QTS’ Critical Facility Management offering; and Dave Stinson who continues as Executive Vice President, Sales.
