Lumos Networks Launches GIGABIT FAST Fiber Broadband Across the Entire Virginia RLEC Footprint

First and Only Provider of Gigabit Broadband Speeds in Region

Lumos Networks Corp. (“Lumos Networks” or the “Company”) (LMOS), a fiber-based service provider of data, voice and IP-based telecommunication services in the Mid-Atlantic region, is proud to announce the launch of GIGABIT FAST across the Company’s entire RLEC fiber to the premise footprint. GIGABIT FAST is the 1 gigabit broadband service with internet speeds up to 1,000 megabits per second and is available to residential and small business customers.

Lumos initially rolled out Gigabit internet speeds to customers in the Alleghany Highlands region in the summer of 2015, followed by customers in Botetourt County in January of 2016. This latest deployment now expands gigabit availability to nearly 20,000 premises with the launching of the Waynesboro/Augusta County market and development properties located in the Lynchburg area, one of its edge-out RLEC Broadband markets.
