Phonoscope LIGHTWAVE Awarded General Services Administration IT Schedule 70 Contract

Phonoscope LIGHTWAVE offers Internet, E-LAN, Dark Fiber, VoIP for government purchasing agents through five-year GSA Contract.

Phonoscope LIGHTWAVE, a leading private fiber optic network service provider headquartered in Houston, Texas, has been awarded a five-year Information Technology Schedule 70 General Services Administration (GSA) Contract (GS35F‐169DA). GSA, the federal government’s procurement arm, provides an online purchasing system for federal, state and local government officials to expedite the purchase of products and services.

Phonoscope LIGHTWAVE offers a number of telecommunications services under the contract including standard or customized high-speed Internet, Ethernet Local Area Network (E-LAN), Dark Fiber, and Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions. Other services include Ethernet Private Line, Data Center interconnections and vendor hardware.

“We consider it an honor and privilege to be the only Houston-headquartered fiber optic network solutions provider selected as a pre-approved GSA vendor,” said Rhonda Cumming, CEO of Phonoscope LIGHTWAVE. “This certification will prove to be a great benefit to our government clients, who can now purchase Phonoscope LIGHTWAVE products and services directly through the GSA portal.”

The contract award places Phonoscope LIGHTWAVE in an elite group of organizations who are authorized to conduct business directly with the Federal government and its agencies. GSA’s IT Schedule 70 features more than 5,000 pre-approved industry partners to enable faster acquisition of competitively priced products and services.

“Becoming a GSA vendor reduces the complexity involved in the procurement of individual telecommunications products and services. Phonoscope LIGHTWAVE can now shift its focus to what matters most to our government clients: custom network solutions that offer the speed, security and reliability needed to accommodate mission-critical data and applications today and in the future,” says David Caddle, COO of Phonoscope LIGHTWAVE.
