For 90 years, Youth Guidance has served inner-city areas where the challenges of community violence and academic failure among youth are greatest. The agency operates in 80 Chicago public schools and directly served more than 8,000 youth in the 2014-2015 school year. Working on Womanhood (W.O.W.) is one of Youth Guidance’s school-based programs, which supports at-risk girls in grades 7-12 through counseling, mentoring, character development, and educational enrichment.

“W.O.W. creates a unique environment for young women to build unbreakable bonds amongst each other,” said Tracy Nolan, Sprint president and general manager of Illinois and Wisconsin. “I am honored to support Youth Guidance and am excited to continue investing in similar programs.”

In addition to the Chicago Sky WNBA game and dinner, Sheryl Swoopes, head coach of the women’s basketball team at Loyola University and WNBA legend, will join as Sprint’s dinner guest. Swoopes is a four-time WNBA champion, NCAA champion and three-time Olympic gold medalist.

“We thank Sprint for their support and generosity,” said Michelle Morrison, Youth Guidance CEO. “These types of donations mean the world to Chicago youth, and we are fortunate to have Sprint as our new partner.”

Youth Guidance is a non-profit organization that relies on the support and collaboration of partners to achieve their goals. For more information or to support Youth Guidance, please visithttp://www.youth-guidance.org.
