August 27 North American Service Disruption

On August 27, the Level 3 network experienced a service disruption impacting certain customers in North America. We identified the root cause as an unintended consequence of a routine network configuration change and we worked with our hardware vendor to resolve the issue. We know how important these services are to our customers; maintaining a high-performing, efficient network for customers is our top priority. All services have been fully restored.
