Milestone: Construction Update and First Customer Services Active on Superloop’s Dark Fibre Networks in Australia and Singapore

Construction Update:

Superloop Limited (ASX:SLC) is pleased to confirm that construction of the Singapore network has been progressing well to date and as of 30 June, 2015 the company had constructed 92km of approximately 110km of fibre optic network that forms the initial Singapore network. The remainder of the initial Singapore network is expected to be completed later this quarter.

Once the initial Singapore network is complete, customers will be able to connect to Global Switch, Equinix SG1, SG2, SG3, Digital Realty (Jurong), Katong and Tuas Cable Landing Stations on a fully geographical diverse network.

The Company is also pleased to confirm that the Brisbane and Melbourne core networks are now practically completed and are serving customers. The primary fibre path in Sydney is also active with only the redundant path yet to be constructed, being scheduled for completion later this quarter.

Customer Services:

The Company is also pleased to announce that it has activated its first customer services in Singapore between Global Switch and Equinix SG1 data centres. These two facilities are part of the Superloop initial network due to be completed later this quarter.

Superloop’s dark fibre network between Global Switch Singapore and Equinix SG1 is the first stage of a carrier-neutral fibre optic network designed to meet the needs for high speed data services and cloud computing services in the fast-growing APAC market.

The Company has also commenced providing services to Australian customers. Once complete the Superloop Australian network will provide connectivity to over 34 data centres in the Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne markets.

Superloop’s CEO & Director, Daniel Abrahams said that he was delighted that Superloop customers are now enjoying the benefits of being able to activate their dark fibre services ahead of the full network launch later this quarter.

“This is an important milestone for the company and represents the first time Superloop has activated services for customers in both Singapore and Australia,” Mr Abrahams said.
