Kirk Wright Joins OnRamp as Vice President of Marketing

AUSTIN, TX – OnRamp, a leading high security and hybrid hosting provider with data center facilities in Texas and North Carolina, is pleased to announce that Kirk Wright will join the company as Vice President of Marketing. Wright has over 15 years of experience in senior executive marketing positions in both SMB and enterprise settings. In this role, Wright will be responsible for all of OnRamp’s demand generation, market positioning, product marketing, and branding.

“Kirk possesses significant experience in successfully defining and driving the market direction for accomplished technology brands,” stated Chief Executive Officer, Lucas Braun. “As Vice President of Marketing, Kirk will help elevate our brand, drive awareness, and position the company for future success with the anticipated release of several new solutions aimed at addressing business’ needs for secure and compliant hosting solutions.”

Wright most recently served as Vice President of Marketing and Client Services at Saffire®, an award-winning SaaS provider aimed at helping events, venues, and destinations build self-managed, interactive websites that include the integrated SaffireTix™ ticketing platform. Prior to this role, Wright served as Director of Marketing for Hewlett-Packard (HP), helping to launch HP Cloud Services by directing all facets of product marketing, analyst relations, public relations and interactive marketing for their initial public cloud offerings. In addition to his background from HP, Wright was Director of Marketing at Rackspace leading demand generation, as well as retention and development marketing, and has held several marketing leadership positions with Dell and Intel.

“What attracted me to OnRamp was the company’s leadership and the growth they continue to achieve. In particular, the fact that OnRamp’s Founder, Chad Kissinger still retains a position driving business development for the company despite a buyout which took place in 2009 says a lot about the value they place on their team,” stated Wright. “I am excited to join OnRamp and look forward to working with team members, channel partners and customers to strengthen its position in the data center services market.
