Stan Sword Joins QTS as Chief People Officer

Overland Park, Kan. (May 29, 2014)QTS Realty Trust (NYSE: QTS), one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing providers of data center facilities and cloud services, and a leader in security and compliance, announced today that Stan Sword has joined as the company’s first Chief People Officer.

Sword has more than 20 years of experience in building work environments for high performing technology companies. He has worked for leading companies including: Applebee’s International, Cerner Corporation, AT&T Solutions and NCR. Prior to joining QTS, Sword worked for Sprint, where he held dual roles as vice president of Total Rewards and vice president of Relationship Management for Sprint’s corporate center functions.

QTS has data center facilities in eight states and employs more than 500 people. Sword, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Illinois, is based at QTS’ Overland Park, Kansas, headquarters. He is an active member of the United Way’s Tocqueville Society and is on the board of Reveal Ministries.
