Proven technology leader to drive continual innovation of Network and Cloud services
Atlanta – March 9, 2015 – Birch Communications, Inc., (“Birch”) a leading technology service provider of IP-based communications, broadband, cloud and IT services to small, mid-sized, enterprise and wholesale businesses, announced today the promotion of Marty Turner to Vice President of Engineering.
Turner previously served as the Senior Director of Cloud Engineering at Birch for the past two-and-a-half years. “Marty’s expertise in the field of cloud technologies, large-scale system architecture and data networks have been invaluable to the company and I am certain that his innovative thinking and vision will enhance Birch’s technology infrastructure and planning development,” said Chris Aversano, COO and EVP of Birch.
Turner has held progressive leadership roles throughout his 20+ year career and is known for delivering technology solutions that enhance competitive advantage. “Marty’s experience working with leading edge technologies combined with successful program management has delivered customer-focused technology solutions which makes him a natural fit for this promotion”, said Aversano.
As VP of Engineering, Marty will oversee network planning and engineering teams, as well as manage the Network Operations Center. In this key leadership role, he will be responsible for setting and driving the strategic technology direction for the company’s network in order to deliver world-class access and managed services to our business customers. Within the area of network operations, his responsibilities include delivering excellence in execution around network availability, performance, change management and maintenance.
