magicJack Donates 1,000 magicJackGOs with a Year of Digital Phone Service to USO for Servicemen and Women Serving Overseas

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. & JERUSALEM–(BUSINESS WIRE)– magicJack VocalTec, Ltd. (NASDAQ:CALL, news, filings), a leading cloud-based communications company, announced today the donation of 1,000 magicJackGO devices to the United Service Organizations(USO). The magicJackGOs, each with a year of free digital phone service, are being sent to servicemen and women serving overseas to help them keep in touch with friends and family in the U.S.

The updated magicJackGO device provides crystal-clear voice service over an existing broadband Internet connection. The retail price of $59.95 includes 12 months of unlimited local and long-distance service with free voicemail, call waiting, caller ID, call forwarding, 411 and a conference call number so the entire family can call in to the same number when time is tight. Ongoing service past the first year is $35/year – less than $3 per month. Once connected to a broadband connection and a phone, international calls back to the U.S. and all magicJack to magicJack calls are free anywhere in the world. The companion magicApp,a free over-the-top app for almost any iOS or Android device, is ideal for saving mobile minutes and giving users one number that rings at home and on smartphones so important calls are never missed. Existing numbers can be ported over or magicJack can provide a new number with the device.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the sacrifice our many servicemen and women make to serve our country, especially those deployed overseas away from family and friends,” said Gerald Vento, CEO, magicJack. “For years we’ve heard how our digital phone service has helped troops stay in touch with family and friends while reducing household budgets. We’re honored and excited to expand this service to those fighting for our country overseas as a small token of our gratitude this holiday season.”
