Global eLearning Provider goFLUENT Selects Pacnet for Asia-Pacific Business Expansion

HONG KONG, 9 December, 2014 – Pacnet, a leading provider of integrated technology solutions in the Asia-Pacific region, today announced that goFLUENT, a leading provider of Business English training, has selected Pacnet’s Managed Infrastructure and Internet Access services to expand its business into the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

Headquartered in Switzerland, goFLUENT’s cloud-based learning solutions combine web and mobile learning applications such as eLearning, Virtual Classrooms and Live Coaching, and video and interactive content, which require real-time accessibility as well as a high-quality viewing experience. The company has selected Pacnet’s Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS), Managed Firewall, and Premium Dedicated Internet Access (PDIA) to extend service to customers located in the APAC region.

“Our collaboration with Pacnet is an important and tactical move that supports our Asia-Pacific expansion strategy, driven by our ongoing mission to provide superior customer service and support. Taking advantage of Pacnet’s enterprise-grade communications infrastructure, we are able to bring higher quality services and solutions to our customers in China and across APAC faster than ever before,” remarked Christophe Ferrandou, CEO of goFLUENT. “With Pacnet’s professional services and expertise, the entire deployment process was very fast and smooth, enabling us to deliver our solution to our customers all over Asia, including China.”

Leveraging Pacnet’s HaaS and Managed Firewall, which helps enterprises to build a reliable defense against the threat of unauthorized access, goFLUENT benefits from a highly secure end-to-end managed service solution and connected business ecosystem. For reliable Internet access, goFLUENT uses Pacnet’s PDIA services to support its customer base in Greater China through shorter routes and low-latency connections. Pacnet’s PDIA combines one of the largest Internet backbones in the region and one of the most extensive peering portfolios in APAC, the United States and the United Kingdom as well as robust interconnection agreements with global backbone and upstream operators.

“We are pleased to have helped goFLUENT overcome distance-related content delivery challenges impacting its APAC operations with our low latency connectivity and direct route access in the region – including China,” said Cardi Prinzi, President of Global Markets, Pacnet. “Our fully-managed, cost-effective infrastructure solution allows global companies like goFLUENT to serve its content to APAC customers in a manner that closely parallels the superior experience delivered by their European-based infrastructure.”

Pacnet delivers robust connectivity solutions via its privately-owned Trans-Pacific and intra-Asia subsea fiber optic cable network and connects to cable landing stations and over 110 Points of Presence (PoPs) in Asia, the US and Europe. It also operates 19 data centers in the region, spanning key cities in Asia including China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and Australia.
