Seven Service Providers Honored with Calix Innovation Awards

Companies recognized at the 2014 Calix User Group Conference last week in Las Vegas

PETALUMA, CA – November 4, 2014 – Calix, Inc. (NYSE:CALX, news, filings) today announced that seven communications service provider customers were honored with Calix Innovation Awards at the 11th annual Calix User Group Conference at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort. Now in their fourth year, Calix Innovation Awards are presented to service providers selected from over 1200 Calix customers as best-in-class examples of leveraging the Calix Unified Access portfolio and Compass suite of software applications to deliver new services, inspire their local communities, and bring about overall business transformation.

The 2014 Calix Innovation Award winners are:

Calix User Group Conference Guides Customers to “Unleash the Power” of their Networks

The 2014 Calix User Group Conference attracted over 1400 registered attendees, including over 100 international attendees from over 25 countries around the world. Participating service providers, partners, and industry experts spent four days participating in educational sessions, hands-on training, product demonstrations, and networking events. Attendees learned about new product and technology innovations across the Calix Unified Access portfolio, including the recently-introduced Calix GigaCenters, while sharing ideas and experiences with their peers and planning their networks for 2015.

Keynote presentations featured visions for the future from a number of Calix executives including, Calix President and CEO Carl Russo, vice president of marketing David Seda, and senior vice president of international sales and marketing, Andy Lockhart. Special guest appearances featured insights into the latest developments in the industry from James Feger of CenturyLink, Jeff Finkelstein of Cox Communications, Ken Paker of TDS, Jeff Mnick of GVTC, Gary Johnson of Paul Bunyan Communications, Jonathan Chambers of the FCC, and Tom Cohen of Kelley Drye.
