Cecilia K. McKenney honored at 2014 Fairfield County SHRM HR People of the Year Awards
STAMFORD, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Frontier Communications Corporation (NYSE:FTR, news, filings) is pleased to announce that Cecilia K. McKenney, Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Administrative Services, was honored with the HR Leader Award in the Large Company category at the 2014 Fairfield County HR People of the Year Awards. The ceremony was held at the Stamford Plaza Hotel & Conference Center.

The HR People of the Year Awards are given each year by The Southern Connecticut Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The awards recognize individuals whose performance and contributions have significantly benefited their organizations, the Human Resources profession and the community.

Of the 22 practitioners and service providers nominated, six were chosen as this year’s awards recipients.

In addition to her role in human resources and administrative services, Ms. McKenney oversees marketing, corporate communications and public relations. She also has responsibility for Frontier Secure, a separate nationwide business unit offering a suite of online security protection and support services for residential and business customers. Earlier, Ms. McKenney was Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Call Center Sales & Service. She joined Frontier Communications in 2006 as Senior Vice President of Human Resources.
Before Frontier, Ms. McKenney was Group Vice President of Headquarters Human Resources for the Pepsi Bottling Group, Inc (PBG) in Somers, New York. Her group was responsible for all Human Resource functions supporting PBG’s worldwide operations.
